Assemblyman follows through on promises

Re “Assemblyman Marc Steinorth hosts Inland Empire pet adoptions” (Aug. 28):

I wish to not only to commend, but to thank Assemblyman Marc Steinorth for his compassion and his dedication to animal welfare.

This past weekend, Assemblyman Steinorth was willing to cover the cost of up to 300 pet adoptions at three local shelters: Rancho Cucamonga, Devore and Redlands. The final total of pets who found homes was 218 dogs, cats and a couple of rabbits. That is 72.6 percent of his goal.

As a life-long advocate of the adage, “adopt, don’t shop,” I am very grateful to Marc for following through on this, his second Steinorth 100 campaign. We need more leaders like Marc who follow through on their promises to their constituents.

Once again, thank you so much, Assemblyman Steinorth!
