Assemblyman Marc Steinorth Announces 2016 Re-Election Campaign

RANCHO CUCAMONGA – Assemblyman Marc Steinorth announces he will be seeking re-election for the 40th Assembly District which includes the communities of Redlands, Rancho Cucamonga, Highland, Loma Linda, San Bernardino, Devore, Mentone, Lytle Creek and Phelan. Since winning election by a double-digit margin in 2014, Assemblyman Steinorth has served as an effective voice for the Inland Empire as evidenced by an impressive list of bipartisan local endorsements.

“Marc met with us on day one and asked how he could help our community. He has brought customer service back to government. He is accessible, accountable and always focused on achieving real results that benefit our city and region as a whole,” said Redlands Mayor, Paul Foster. “Marc’s leadership on making homeownership affordable for middle class families and bringing new jobs to the region coupled with his sincere desire to serve his district are just some of the reasons I am supporting his re-election.”

“What impresses me the most about Marc is his ability to work with everyone to get the job done,” said Rancho Cucamonga City Councilwoman Dr. Lynne Kennedy. “As a Democrat myself, I am proud to support him in his re-election. He loves our community and its people even more and he never stops working for the Inland Empire.”

“Education is a top priority of Marc’s and that is why he has my support,” said Art Bustamonte, President of the Chaffey Joint Union High School District. “Our students, parents and school districts need an advocate to ensure we are providing the best education possible to our children and grandchildren. Marc has taken the time to learn our issues and be our voice in the legislature.”

Assemblyman Steinorth has long time connections to the community from his career as a small business owner and service as a Rancho Cucamonga City Councilman. During his first term in office he has been focused on increasing California’s housing supply to improve affordability, rolling back the state’s anti-business laws, improving the quality of K-12 education and ensuring public safety has the resources to keep our communities safe.

“Serving in the State Assembly has been a great honor and I am proud to stand for re-election,” said Assemblyman Steinorth. “While there is still a lot of work to do, I am very optimistic that we can improve the lives of middle class families, seniors and future generations in the Inland Empire. I am grateful for the support I am receiving from my community. I couldn’t do this job without the input and feedback I receive from everyone in my district.”

Assemblyman Steinorth has already received significant support from local elected officials, community leaders and a broad array of organizations. Building on this and a successful first two-years in office, he is well positioned to be re-elected in November.

Assemblyman Steinorth is the Vice Chair of the Assembly Committee on Housing and Community Development, and serves on the Health Committee, the Governmental Organization Committee, and the Committee on Small Business in the Inland Empire.

Marc, his wife Maria and their two children live in Rancho Cucamonga.
