Sacramento, CA – Today Assemblyman Marc Steinorth announced his co-authorship of Senate Bill 893, to waive tuition and fees for any UC, CSU, or California Community College campus for the children and spouses of the victims of the San Bernardino terror attack.

“The terrorist attack in San Bernardino impacted all of us, throughout our region and the entire world,” said Steinorth. “We are all shaken, but the victims’ families had their lives changed forever. This legislation will, in a small way, ease some of the strain on these families, ensuring their children will be able to access a quality higher education.”

Similar benefits were provided to families of the victims of the September 11th attacks, and are also extended to families of peace officers who have died in the line of duty.
