  1. Assemblyman Marc Steinorth Earns Key Endorsements from San Bernardino City Unified School District Board

Rancho Cucamonga, CA — Assemblyman and longtime small business owner Marc Steinorth has earned the endorsement of San Bernardino City Unified School District Board Members: Dr. Margaret Hill, Michael Gallo, and Dr. Scott Wyatt in his campaign for reelection. These leaders in education join a wide array of education professionals backing Assemblyman Steinorth.

“I’ve known Marc since he was one of my students at Serrano Middle School when I was the Vice Principal. I am so pleased by his leadership and his measured approach to serving our community,” said Board Member Margaret Hill. “Marc has proven that he understands the needs of our students and is a strong advocate for improving the quality of education our children receive. As a concerned citizen, I am proud to endorse him in his reelection. I have full confidence he will continue to put the needs of our students and teachers above all else.”

Last year, Steinorth led the charge on Assembly Bill 1161, which sought to expand the accessibility of preschool for low-income families through public-private partnerships. An innovative solution like AB 1161 would help prepare students for educational success without increasing state spending.

“Marc is exactly the kind of representative needed in our community,” said Board Member Michael Gallo. “As a father himself, he cares deeply about the success of our students and is very aware that education has a direct impact on the future success of a child. Marc is committed to expanding access to career and technical training for our students so they have the ability to gain high paying skilled jobs. I am proud to support him in his bid for reelection.”

After serving on the Rancho Cucamonga City Council, Steinorth was elected to the State Assembly in 2014. In the Legislature, Steinorth has focused his efforts on public safety, education reform, and improving housing affordability throughout the state.

In 1998, Steinorth founded Atlas Buying Group, Inc., which provides professional advertising services to local businesses and corporations nationwide. As a small business owner who has created jobs and hired many employees, Marc knows that a quality education is essential to professional success.

“I am humbled to receive the endorsement of the most respected education leaders on the San Bernardino City Unified School District Board,” stated Steinorth. “I’m deeply passionate about ensuring that all students in California attend quality schools and are equipped with the skills they need to succeed in the modern workplace. As your Assemblyman, I will not stop fighting until our state is once again home to first rate schools and regarded as a national leader in education.”

Marc Steinorth is seeking reelection to the 40th Assembly district, which includes the communities of Highland, Loma Linda, Rancho Cucamonga, Redlands, and much of San Bernardino. He lives in Rancho Cucamonga with his wife, Maria, and their two children.
