RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA — Assemblyman and small business owner Marc Steinorth has received the endorsement of Congressman Paul Cook.

Congressman Cook served in the United States Marine Corps for 26 years, retiring as a colonel in 1992. During his service, he earned two Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star Medal with a V for valor. Cook went on to serve in both the California State Assembly and House of Representatives, focusing his efforts on fighting government corruption, reducing taxes, supporting veterans and improving public safety.

“Marc Steinorth is a passionate leader who is not afraid to roll up his sleeves and get to work for his constituents,” stated Congressman Cook. “In the Assembly, Marc has been a strong advocate for affordable housing, public safety, and encouraging small businesses to expand. We need to elect more leaders like Marc who are willing to take on Sacramento and fight for our communities. He has my full support.”

Prior to serving in the State Assembly, Marc was elected to serve on the Rancho Cucamonga City Council. Additionally, Marc has been the owner and operator of Atlas Buying Group, Inc. for almost two decades—providing services for small businesses throughout the country. As the founder of a successful small business and former City Council Member, Marc has extensive experience navigating California’s complex set of laws and regulations and using that knowledge to promote a more business-friendly environment both in the Inland Empire and across the state. As an Assemblyman, Marc has also focused much of his time on increasing the availability of and Californians access to affordable housing.

Congressman Cook’s endorsement adds to the growing support for Marc’s re-election from a diverse group of leaders throughout the 40th Assembly District. Steinorth has received the unanimous endorsement from City Councils of four of the five cities he represents, as well as four of the five members of the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors. It is clear the community acknowledges him as the voice for middle class families.

Marc and his wife, Maria live in Rancho Cucamonga with their two children. He represents the communities of Redlands, Highland, Rancho Cucamonga, Loma Linda, and San Bernardino including the unincorporated areas of Mentone, Lytle Creek, Devore and portions of Phelan.
