  1. Assemblyman Marc Steinorth Statement on 2016-17 State Budget Proposal

Sacramento, CA – Today Assemblyman Marc Steinorth released the following statement in regard to Governor Jerry Brown’s 2016-17 State Budget proposal.

“I couldn’t agree more with Governor Brown,” said Assemblyman Marc Steinorth. “We must continue to set aside reserves and avoid expanding permanent expenses. The very last thing this state needs is to repeat the budget mistakes of the past decade.”

“California needs to be an affordable place for our families to call home, which is why it is vital to protect our hard working middle class families from having to pay higher gas taxes, especially when the state already has the money it needs to fix our roads and highways.”

“Let’s pass a budget that shows families we’re serious about being efficient and effective with their hard earned tax dollars while improving California’s economic competitiveness and providing a more vibrant job market with more good paying jobs.”

“It is my commitment that these will be my priorities as we address this year’s budget.”

Assemblyman Steinorth represents the 40th Assembly District which includes Rancho Cucamonga, San Bernardino, Highland, Loma Linda, and Redlands.
