Democrat and Republican City Leaders Unanimously Endorse Assemblyman Marc Steinorth

Press Release

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA — Assemblyman and longtime small business owner Marc Steinorth has earned the unanimous endorsement from every single Mayor and Council Member in the entire 40th Assembly District. This tremendous and unprecedented accomplishment is a testament to Assemblyman Steinorth’s people-first approach to serving the needs of his community.

“What impresses me the most about Marc is his ability to work with everyone to get the job done,” said Rancho Cucamonga City Councilwoman Dr. Lynne Kennedy. “As a Democrat myself, I am proud to support him in his re-election. He loves our community and its people even more and he never stops working for the Inland Empire.”

“Marc is a well-rounded leader focused on providing a voice for each and every resident in the Inland Empire,” said Rancho Cucamonga City Councilman Bill Alexander. “Marc is a friend to our middle class families, our seniors and even our animals. I whole heartedly support him in his re-election.”

Since elected to represent the 40th Assembly District, Steinorth has focused on the needs of Inland Empire middle class families. The Inland Empire economy has been slow to rebound and has had a negative impact on our millennials and middle class. Assemblyman Steinorth has been a strong advocate for bringing vocational and job training programs back to high schools and community colleges to begin training our next generation of skilled and highly paid workforce.

San Bernardino City Councilmember Virginia Marquez added, “Marc’s focus on bringing jobs back to the Inland Empire after years of high unemployment is desperately needed in our community. His passion for helping our homeless population and animals is something I respect and admire.”

After serving on the Rancho Cucamonga City Council and operating his family run small business for almost 20 years, Steinorth was elected to the State Assembly in 2014. In the Legislature, Steinorth has focused his efforts on job creation, public safety, education reform, and improving housing affordability throughout the state. “Everyone deserves the opportunity to purchase a home,” said Steinorth, “that is something I am committed to making a reality. There is no question that the pathway to middle class is through homeownership and I want that for my community.”

“Marc has brought customer service back to government. He is accessible, accountable and always focused on achieving real results that benefit our city and region as a whole,” said Redlands Mayor, Paul Foster. “Marc’s leadership on making homeownership affordable for middle class families and bringing new jobs to the region coupled with his sincere desire to serve his district are just some of the reasons I am supporting his re-election.”

“I am humbled to receive the unanimous endorsement of every Mayor and City Councilmember of every city I represent, but I believe this honor was earned by the hard work of myself and my team,” Steinorth stated. “I love our community and do all that I can to be the best representative I can for those who live here. No one will ever outwork me. I am committed to fighting the insanity in Sacramento until we have safer streets, higher quality education for our children, and good paying jobs for our talented workforce.”

Marc Steinorth is seeking reelection to the 40th Assembly district, which includes the communities of Highland, Loma Linda, Rancho Cucamonga, Redlands, San Bernardino and the unincorporated areas of Devore, Mentone and Lytle Creek. He lives in Rancho Cucamonga with his wife, Maria, and their two children.
