Redlands Unified School District Board Unanimously Endorses Assemblyman Marc Steinorth

Press Release

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA — Assemblyman and longtime small business owner Marc Steinorth has earned the endorsement from all five members of the Redlands Unified School District Board in his campaign for re-election. The board members supporting his campaign include: Patty Holohan, Richard Haller, Neal Waner, Ron McPeck and Donna West.

“There is a direct correlation between the success of our students today and the quality of our workforce tomorrow. Marc recognizes the importance of increasing vocational and technical training in the classroom and preparing our students to be career ready,” Board Member Richard Haller said. “Marc has consistently recognized the influence education has on the community as a whole. For this reason, Marc has more than earned my support.”

Last year, Steinorth led the charge on Assembly Bill 1161, which sought to expand the accessibility of preschool for low-income families through public-private partnerships. An innovative solution like AB 1161 would help prepare students for educational success without increasing state spending.

“Our community needs more leaders like Assemblyman Steinorth, who is devoted to bettering the lives of the people he represents,” stated Board President Patty Holohan. “Marc works across party lines to come up with solutions to some of the most pressing problems facing our community. He’s exactly the kind of collaborative and innovative leader we should be sending to Sacramento.”

After serving on the Rancho Cucamonga City Council, Steinorth was elected to the State Assembly in 2014. In the Legislature, Steinorth has focused his efforts on public safety, education reform, and improving housing affordability throughout the state.

“As a father, Marc understands the importance of having a voice in education. This starts by increasing local control and empowering local education leaders,” stated Board Member Neal Waner. “In his first term in the Assembly, Marc Steinorth has proven that he is committed to education reform and it is abundantly clear that he cares deeply about the current and future educational wellbeing of our children. I’m proud to support him for Assembly.”

In 1998, Steinorth founded the Atlas Buying Group, Inc., which provides professional advertising services to local businesses and corporations nationwide. As a small business owner who has created jobs and hired many employees, Marc knows that a quality education is essential to professional success.

“I am humbled to receive the unanimous endorsement of the Redlands Unified School District Board,” stated Steinorth. “I’m deeply passionate about ensuring that all students in California attend quality schools and are equipped with the skills they need to succeed in the modern workplace. As your Assemblyman, I will not stop fighting until our state is once again home to first rate schools and regarded as a national leader in education.”

Marc Steinorth is seeking reelection to the 40th Assembly district, which includes the communities of Highland, Loma Linda, Rancho Cucamonga, Redlands, and much of San Bernardino. He lives in Rancho Cucamonga with his wife, Maria, and their two children.
