Sacramento, CA – This week, Assemblyman Marc Steinorth introduced Assembly Concurrent Resolution 123 to name a segment of State Highway Route 15 in San Bernardino County as the “Sheriff’s Deputies Ronald Wayne Ives and Daniel Jess Lobo, Jr., Memorial Highway.”

“Deputies Ives and Lobo provided nearly two decades of service to the County of San Bernardino, and their service deserves our tribute.” said Steinorth. “The deputies are heroes to the county and state, and they made our community a safer place. This resolution creates an ongoing memorial that will ensure their sacrifice is never forgotten.”

Deputy Ives was lost in the line of duty in 2004, and Deputy Lobo was lost while responding to an accident in 2005. ACR 123 renames the segment of State Highway Route 15 located from its junction with State Highway Route 210 to Sierra Avenue in San Bernardino County after the deputies. The legislation also provides for the placement of signs along the highway to denote the named segment, using private resources.

Assemblyman Steinorth represents the 40th Assembly District which includes Rancho Cucamonga, San Bernardino, Highland, Loma Linda, and Redlands.
