Long time small business owner and Assemblyman Marc Steinorth announced he received the endorsement of the Inland Valleys Association of REALTORS in his campaign to represent San Bernardino County’s 2nd District.

“Marc is a champion for homeownership and an unwavering defender of Prop 13 and private property rights,” said Chairman Michael Stoffel. “His dedication to making the American Dream of homeownership a reality for all Californians and his commitment to lowering the cost of housing are the reasons we are so proud to endorse him for County Supervisor. Marc is a true REALTOR champion making him a champion for all homeowners and those who wish to become homeowners one day.”

“I can think of no greater advocate for homeownership and defender of Prop 13 than Marc Steinorth,” said Vice Chairman Jesse Armendarez. “If more elected officials were like Marc we wouldn’t be in the housing crisis we are today. We look forward to continuing to work with him to bring down the cost of housing in our region and across the state.”

During his tenure in the State Assembly, Steinorth authored legislation to create homeownership savings accounts, allowing people to save more of their own money, tax free, for the purpose of a first-time home purchase. He also authored legislation to offer tax credits to those who purchase home security equipment to strengthen the safety of their home.

“The pathway to middle class success is through homeownership and that is why I am so honored to have the support of the REALTORS,” said Steinorth. “I will continue to fight to protect Prop 13 and work to make homeownership a reality for everyone.”

San Bernardino County’s 2nd District includes the cities of Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, Upland, and the unincorporated communities of Devore, Lytle Creek, San Antonio Heights, Mt. Baldy and the Rim of the World mountain communities. Steinorth is a small business owner and father of two children, Madison and Mason.
