Small business owner and State Assemblyman Marc Steinorth announced the endorsement of County Supervisor Josie Gonzales in his campaign to represent San Bernardino County’s 2nd District.

“Marc is a true public servant with a heartfelt dedication for helping people,” said Supervisor Gonzales. “The premise of my support for Marc is based on his demonstrated interest to communicate and partner with local government on countywide issues. Over the past number of years this is clearly demonstrated by his initiative to work together on multiple local projects by increasing funding for addressing the issue of homelessness especially among veterans, women and children and seniors, including our continued work on reducing the pet euthanasia rates at our local animal shelters. Through his Buy Clean California legislation, he enabled small businesses and entrepreneurial efforts to thrive. I look forward to continuing to work with Marc on issues and policies that ultimately impact our residents and make the kind of relevant changes the people need today. I’m proud to call Marc my friend and endorse him for County Supervisor.”

During his tenure in the State Assembly, Steinorth authored legislation to help repair our local roads without raising taxes and fought against the gas tax increase that disproportionately hurts inland empire residents. He’s also authored legislation to provide a tax credit for those who adopt a shelter pet and sponsored the cost of over 800 adoptions at our local shelters at his Steinorth 100 Adoption Fair hosted every year.

San Bernardino County’s 2nd District includes the cities of Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, Upland, and the unincorporated communities of San Antonio Heights, Devore, Lytle Creek, Mt. Baldy and the Rim of the World mountain communities. Steinorth is a small business owner and father of two children, Madison and Mason.
