Marc Steinorth Brings Transparency to Campaign Spending

SACRAMENTO – Assemblyman Marc Steinorth (R-Rancho Cucamonga) announced his bill, AB 664, passed out of Assembly Elections and Redistricting Committee.

“We are one step closer to bringing transparency to how candidates spend their campaign dollars,” said Assemblyman Steinorth. “Candidates who run for public office with intentions of lining their own pockets rather than serving their constituents are doing an incredible disservice to our representative democracy, and Californians deserve better than that.”

AB 664 will ensure that candidates for public office do not abuse a loophole to unfairly use campaign contributions to pay immediate family members beyond fair market value.

Assemblyman Marc Steinorth (R-Rancho Cucamonga) represents the 40th Assembly District in the California Legislature, which includes the cities of Redlands, Highland, Loma Linda, and portions of San Bernardino and Rancho Cucamonga.
